Add to or Edit Safe Senders List
This is a guide of how to add or edit the list of email addresses in Windows Live Mail 2011, so that email received from them will not be marked as Junk.
With the large amounts of junk electronic mail filling our Inboxes, some anti-spam features is essential to avoid getting deluged with this ever increasing problem. Incredibly even the most intelligent junk email filters can mark some legitimate emails as spam. To help avoid missing important information, you can mark certain address as "safe" these form a "whitelist", email from this whitelist of addresses will not be marked as Junk.
While Whitelists can be an important tool, realise that it is possible that addresses on your Safe Senders list can get hacked, so you must be careful before clicking on links or downloading attachments, even from so-called "safe" senders.
- Windows Live Mail 2011, click the "Home" tab in the Ribbon.
- In the "Delete" section of the Ribbon, click the "Junk" button.
- Select "Safety Options..."

1. Click the "Add" button.

2. The "Add address or domain" dialog box appears.
Either enter a full domain or a specific email address to mark as safe.

3. Click "OK" to add the address / domain.

- Select an address or domain in the list.
- Select the "Edit" button
- The "Edit address or domain" dialog box appears (like the "Add address or domain" ). Edit the address or domain accordingly.
- Click "OK" to apply the edit.
- To delete an address / domain from the list:
- Select an address / domain in the list.
- Select the "Remove" button.
- Select "OK" to close the "Safety Options" dialog box.

Windows Live Mail 2011 Not Spell Checking Uppercased Words
If uppercased words are being ignored during the spell check, this is a way to overcome it.
1. From the main Windows Live Mail 2011 window, click the menu button in the Ribbon.
2. Select "Options", then "Mail" from the pop-up menu.
(Keyboard shortcut ALT+F, O, M)

3. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Spelling" tab.
4. Underneath "When checking spelling, always ignore", uncheck "Words in UPPERCASE".

5. Select "OK" to close the dialog box.
The program will need to be shut down and restarted for this change to be reflected.

Ensuring Windows Live 2011 performs a Spell Check before sending an Email:
Thanks to the Microsoft Team Windows Live Mail 2011 automatically spell checks emails as you type, misspelled a word and the red squiggly line appears underneath it. When you type a quick message it's easy to miss these before clicking the "Send" button.
Here is a quick configuration change that force Windows Live Mail 2011 to enabling you to quickly deal with any spelling errors. You can cancel the spell check at send rather than letting it run but spelling mistake can spoil a good document.

1. From the main Windows Live Mail 2011 window, click the menu button in the Ribbon.
2. Select "Options", then "Mail" from the pop-up menu.
Keyboard shortcut is ALT+F, O, M.

- Select "Options"
- Select "Spelling" tab. (As Below)
- Check "Always check spelling before sending".
- Select "OK" to close when finished
- Note: Reverse this process if you don't want the Spell Check to run.
